Don Rohrenbach

Don Albert Rohrenbach, a former resident of Polson, Mont., passed away on Oct. 9, 2018, surrounded by family members.

Don was born Jan. 21, 1933, in Culbertson, Mont., to the late Albert and Zora (Kemp) Rohrenbach.

Don graduated with honors from Polson High School in 1950, where he lettered in football and played the trombone. Don later received his Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering at Montana State School of Mines in 1955. In 1956, he received national recognition by the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical and Petroleum Engineers for his work on “The Venturi-Mucker.” Don went on to have a 45-year career in the mining industry and traveled extensively throughout the world.

Don had a passion for gardening and creating elaborate yard landscapes. He was a talented handyman, a music aficionado and an avid Denver Broncos fan.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Delores (Becky) Rohrenbach. Don is survived by his daughters, Linda Rohrenbach and Debra Taryle (Charles Potter) of Denver, Colo., Laura Crowder of Louisville, Kent., and grandchildren, Aaron and Brandon Taryle of Denver, Colo., and Casey and Kelsey Crowder of Louisville, Kent.
