Ronan girl, 14, dies in weekend crash
One teen is dead following a weekend crash just south of Pablo, according to Montana Highway Patrol.
Trooper Noah Pesola confirmed that a 14-year-old female died as a result of the crash, which occured at 2:15 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 25.
On Tuesday, Nov. 27, Lake County Sheriff/Coroner Don Bell confirmed the identity of the teen as Aliyah McCrea of Ronan.
A representative from MHP stated that McCrea, who was a passenger, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
The representative from MHP stated that a 2005 Nissan Sentra was traveling north on North Foothills Drive near North Crow Road.
The driver lost control, causing the vehicle to enter a ditch and roll several times.
The driver and three other passengers, all ranging from 11 years old to 16 years old, were injured with non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The representative also said that speed and alcohol are suspected to be factors in the crash.
Charges are pending an investigation, Pesola said, and further information will not be immediately made public because juveniles are involved.
