Polson’s Friends of the North Lake County Public Library District have regrouped and are actively recruiting memberships for the 2018-19 fiscal year. Directors Paula Aznoe, Diane Farquhar, John Freemole and Barbara Hammons meet regularly to discuss fundraising ideas and ways that the Friends can help with the library’s ‘wish list.’ Abbi Dooley, library director, provides the group with guidance and input on the library’s projects needing material or financial help.

Membership flyers are available at the library located at 2 First Avenue East or by email to hammons@centurytel.net. Tax deductible memberships are: $1 children, $15 adults, $25 family, business/organization $50, patron $100, $500 lifetime patron, and $750 lifetime business/organization. Member requests may also be mailed to Friends of the Library, PO Box 1791, Polson MT 59860. Be sure to include name, address, telephone and optional email.

THE FRIENDS meet regularly at 1 p.m. on the third Friday of the month at the library. Visitors are welcome to offer ideas and meet the directors. A successful book sale was held on Aug.16; additional fundraising events will be discussed and planned for the current and next year. The North Lake County Public Library District serves the area from Polson south to Pablo, and north along the west and east sides of Flathead Lake within the Polson High School District. Memberships in the Friends of the Library are welcomed and appreciated from anyone interested in supporting the Polson library. Residency within the district is not required.
