The visiting Lady Pirates held a 5-3 edge entering into the final segment of the game, but all-state, twice all-conference (1st-tm 2017, 2nd-tm 2016) Breaker Syd Koppang netted two crucial goals that included a penalty kick as well as the equalizer with mere minutes remaining to complete a counter hat trick.

Ashlee Howell completed her hat trick for the visitors early in the second half, while Sophia Moderie and Kyla Heiser contributed the other goals. Autumn Burland, Moderie, Ali Hupka and Howell also dished out assists to their Pirate scoring mates. Polson (1-0-1), Loyola (0-2-1).

At Polson, a quintet of Lady Pirates notched the nylon of the net as Polson won their season opener. Ali Hupka scored four, while Ashlee Howell and Autumn Burland scored braces (2 goals). Freshman Sophia Moderie contributed a goal and an assist, while first half keeper Megan Rost maximized her pitch time by scoring a goal off an assist from Kyla Heiser. The other tally came off an own goal when the Lady Bronc defender attempted to clear a ball that Howell had crossed in front of the goal.

Hupka would have been credited with another goal off an assist from Ashlee Howell in minute 13, but it was negated on account of an offsides infraction.
