Ronan def. Polson 3-0

At Ronan, the host Maidens maintained mastery throughout the first set with Madison Clairmont closing out the game with a service ace. Ronan held a narrow lead much of the first third of the second set until the visiting Lady Pirates edged ahead 12-11. Thereafter, it was the visitors who maintained a narrow margin much of the second third of the set until Ronan rallied to tie at 22 apiece. Polson captured the next point, but the Maidens closed out the second set with a flurry to win 25-23.

The third set was a back and forth see-saw affair. Polson trailed in the early going but tied things up at 13 apiece, then inched ahead. A Lilly Ilac ace would tie the game at 15 apiece, but Polson battled back to edge a few points ahead. Unwilling to let their quarry off the hook so easily, Ronan reeled in the Lady Pirates to tie the game at 20 apiece. Thereafter, a couple of strategic spikes intermixed with visitor miscues would seal the match for the Maidens.
