Polson Fly-in features multitude of pilots, spectators

Bob Colby and Judy Rentner of Bigfork flew to Polson for Saturdays event, coming in with Bobs 1946 Globe Swift. Bob traded in a 1928 Curttis about two years ago for a newer plane.
Excellent food was served during the pancake breakfast Saturday morning at the Polson Airport.
Chuck Jarecki of Polson has a story to tell about his air miles. Hes shown with a North America map on which is drawn the routes hes flown in the 1976 Cessna 180 behind it. Andrew Pattison of Missoula Smoke Jumpers was on hand during last Saturdays Polson Fly-in to give a demonstration. He shows the heavy backpack thats strapped to his back when he jumps out of a plan en route to a wildfire.
Taitum Folck, a 4-year-old from Polson found a plane just the right size. It was a Super Petrel LS.
