Jay Enger

| September 27, 2018 4:18 PM

Jay Stuart Enger, 71, of Polson, Mont., went home to Jesus on Sept. 18, 2018, with a daughter and grandson by his side, and his family and friends surrounding him with love. Jay was born on June 5, 1947, in Saint Maries, Idaho, to Jesse Ray Enger and Mae Opal Walston.

He has now been reunited with the love of his life, his wife of 34 years, Joyce Kinyon Enger, whom he had missed dearly since her passing in June 2017.

He was a mountain man through and through, and spent as much time as he could in nature. His love for the outdoors was obvious to everyone who knew him by the stories he would tell. Jay could also be found whittling some creations out of wood or working with leather.

His beloved dog Griz followed him wherever he went, always by his side, which stood true to the end as she followed Jay to Heaven only hours after him.

Jay will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Messages of condolence may be sent to the family online at www.lakefuneralhomeandcremation.com. The Lake Funeral Home and Crematory, Polson, is assisting Jay’s family with arrangements.
