Sarah Howell (Polson, Class of 2015) wrapped up her collegiate soccer career with the University of Providence (formerly University of Great Falls) Argonauts last fall. The recently held awards banquet resulted in Howell reaping several accolades in recognition of multiple achievements.

Howell is the third among four soccer savvy siblings. Older brother Nick (Polson, Class 0f 2012) played for Rocky Mountain College from 2012-15. Younger sister Ashlee (Polson, Class of 2019) will be following in her sister’s footsteps. Older sister Heather had multiple offers to competed at the collegiate level, but opted to pursue other endeavors.

Below is a description of each of Sarah’s half-dozen awards:

University of Providence Women’s Soccer coach Brian Clarke sought to summarize the collegiate contributions of Howell when he said, “Sarah ... made an impact on our program on and off the field from day one. She led by example and was always willing to serve the needs of the team, which included playing almost every position on the field. It is easy to say that we wouldn’t have had the successes we had without her.”

Unofficially, Sarah Howell set a new UP record for having logged the most minutes in program history. Coach Clarke reiterated, “Another testament to what she meant to our program.”
