Lady Vikings, Vikings dominate Thompson Falls Invite

The Charlo Lady Vikings track team captured a total of eight first-place finishes at the Thompson Falls Invitational Tuesday afternoon in Thompson Falls.

The Lady Vikings track team consist of three of the top-tier stars in the Montana HIgh Schoo Association Class C showcased the talent that will most likely be on display at the MHSA Class C state track meet.

Fryberger continues her dominance

Carlee Fryberger continues to find herself time and time again at the top of the 100-meter run.

Fryberger, now only a sophomore, recorded a time of 13.48 seconds to capture first-place in the 100-meter dash.

Delaney excels in Bluehawks’ Invite

Over the last few years, Allie Delaney has become accustomed to top-five finishes, and this meet saw her again at the top of the podium.

Delaney also won the 300-meter hurdles, recording a time of 52.73 seconds.

Delaney finished first in the 400-meter run, recording a time of 1 minute, 7.98 seconds.

Delaney was also a member of the 4X100 relay team consisting of Carlee Fryberger, Kaitlin Cox, and Destiny Manual that finished in first-place recording a time of 54.42 seconds.

The group consisting of Delaney, Kassidi Cox, Kaitlin Cox, and Fryberger also captured the 4X400 recording a time of 4 minutes, 32.35 seconds.

Cox excels in jumping events

Throughout the years Kaitlin Cox has become known as the Lady Vikings standout volleyball player, and she has become that a star because of her ability to jump.

In the triple jump Cox recorded cumulative distances of 34 feet, 1 inch, and in the long jump recorded a jump resulting in 16 feet, 1.75 inches.

Buck dominates distances in T-Falls

Mission High School runner Karolyna Buck has developed a reputation for being one of the best distance runners in the Mission Valley.

Buck further solidified her repuation with another standout performance in the Thompson Falls Invite.

Buck captured first in the 800-meter, and 1,600-meter run with times of 2 minutes, 43.17 seconds in the 800, and 13 minutes, 15.59 seconds in the 1,600-meter run, a personal record.

Degrandpre captures 1,600

Charlo Vikings distance runner Wills Degrandpre is another competitor that has become accustomed to being at the top of the podium.

Degrandpre captured the 1,600-meter run recording a time of 4 minutes, 47 seconds en route to another first-place finish.

The Vikings relay team consisting of star football players such as Garett Vaughan, Landers Smith, Isaiah Allik, and distance star Wills Degrandpre captured first place in the 4X400 relay.

The Vikings team recorded a time of 3 minutes, 53.92 seconds.

Smith dominates the pole vault

Landers Smith cleared a distance in the pole vault of 12 feet, even. Signed to Montana Tech, he continues to show his athletic acumen as he is considered one of the best athletes in MHSA Class C sports, and the Mission Valley.
