Mission Valley Christmas concerts

It’s time to kick off the season with Mission Valley Choral Society’s annual Christmas concerts. They will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Mission at St. Ignatius, and at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Polson.

Free admission, all are welcome.

St. Ignatius Senior Center Bingo/Dinner

The St. Ignatius Senior Citizen Center is having bingo and dinner Wednesday, Dec. 18. Dinner is served at 5:30 p.m. and bingo will start at 6:30 p.m. Bingo cards are $.25 per card or 20 cards for $4. Last game will be a blackout for $50.

Elementary schools seek youth mentors

Cherry Valley and Linderman elementary schools have youth waiting to be matched with a mentor. What does it take to be a mentor? A caring heart and a willingness to visit with a child once a week, for one hour, during the school day. All expenses and trainings are covered by the 4-H National Mentoring Program. Commissioners seek citizen volunteers

The Lake County Commissioners are seeking citizen volunteers to serve three year terms on the

following boards:

- Swan Hill TV Board (2 positions)

- Lake County Tax Appeal Board (1 position)

- Lake County Solid Waste Board (2 positions)

- Lake County Compensation Board (2 positions)

- Lake County Joint Airport Board (1 position)

- Lake County Board of Health (1 position)

- Blacktail TV District (1 position)

The Board of Commissioners will accept letters of interest to serve on these boards through Dec. 30.

Letters should be addressed to the Lake County Commissioner, 106 4 th Avenue East, Polson, MT 59860.
