City of Polson Sale of surplus property to government entity At the November 18, 2019 City Commission meeting, the Commission declared the following vehicles as surplus property to be sold: 1990 Central States Fire Engine and 1998 International Truck. It is now the intent of the City to sell these two vehicles to the Chief Cliff Volunteer Fire Department which is a political subdivision of Lake County, Montana for the sum of $35,000.00. Per MCA 7-8-101(2) the City can sell property directly to another governmental entity without an ordinance, public notice, public auction, bids or appraisal. PUBLIC NOTICE Flathead Lake Flowering Rush Controls Project This notice is to inform the public that the Salish Kootenai College Extension Program (SKCE) is preparing a programmatic Environmental Assessment on its proposal to implement a Flathead Lake Flowering Rush Controls Project to initiate annual herbicide treatments for managing the invasive aquatic plant flowering rush on the bed of Flathead Lake within the littoral zone over the next 10 years. Herbicide applications would be made to flowering rush plants on the bed of the lake on the Flathead Reservation. Applications would be made to spots as small as 4 square feet up to several acres in size.
