The Mission Valley area had 13 football players who were acknowledged with postseason accolades this past fall, a quintet from Mission, a quartet from Ronan and a pair from Arlee as well as Polson.

Among those were a trio of all-staters.

W8-man Mission St. Ignatius Bulldogs (2019: 8-2)

The Bulldogs reaped a pair of all-staters in Jedi Christy and Troy Matt, key offensive workhorses instrumental in generating points for the offensive machinery of Mission. Matt was initially named to the all-conference second-team at running back, but benefitted from the additional state kudo when Western teams who won their first round of matches yielded additional upgrade picks for conference noms.

Senior Jedi Christy received dual all-conference recognition for his acumen on both sides of the line of scrimmage this past season for the Bulldogs. Christy was named to the first-team at inside linebacker and received second-team acknowledgement as a wide receiver.

Layne Spidel likewise received dual first-team recognition for aptitude on both sides of the line of scrimmage as kick returner and defensive end.

Sophomore Charley Adams received dual second-team acknowledgement as slotback on offense and defensive back. Senior lineman Hayden Currie was also conferred with dual second-team recognition for his efforts on both sides of the line of scrimmage, holding down the O-line as well as D-line.

NWA Polson Pirates (2019: 4-5)

Ryker Wenderoth was an instrumental component to the success of the Pirates this season on both sides of the line of scrimmage. Wenderoth earned dual all-state recognition as a leading receiver as well as defensive back. On defense this past season, Wenderoth tallied nine picks, ten pass breakups and five fumble recoveries among numerous other contributions. He culminates three seasons of prep varsity action with over 1200 career reception yards. This was the second season of all-conference acknowledgement for Wenderoth, an honorable mention last year among the secondary at cornerback.

Jack of all trades junior Boston Goode received honorable mention recognition for his punting prowess, but he dabbled in a little bit of everything that included rushing from the backfield, receiving, a trio of interceptions along with a tandem of pass breakups and forced fumbles that supplemented his pursuit portolio.

W8-man Arlee Warriors (2019: 2-7)

Warrior running back Colt Crawford was named to the second-team for his backfield TD portfolio that entailed close to a dozen touchdowns, most of which were runs supplemented by an handful of scoring receptions. This was the second all-conference acknowledgement for Crawford, an honorable mention at slotback as well as linebacker last season.

Versatile lineman CJ Forgey received dual second-team recognition for anchoring the line at center on offense as well as at defensive end. This was the second dual recognition all-conference nod for Forgey, a first-team pick last season.

NWA Ronan Chiefs (2019: 1-8)

Ronan reaped a quartet of accolade acknowledgements.

Senior Matt Victor was conferred with second-team recognition as the leading receiver for the Chiefs this past season, cresting the half millenial (>500) mark for reception yardage.

Senior Kolby Reum received honorable mention recognition as outside linebacker, but he reeled in the second leading number of receptions for the third leading yardage.

Chief signal-caller Eric Dolence received second-team recognition in the defensive secondary as safety. Dolence was knocking on the door of the millennial (>1000) mark for passing yardage the past trio of seasons. He crests the triple millennial mark for total yardage when rushing and receiving portfolios are combined.

Senior lineman Landon Lynch anchored the Chief offensive line, but was also one of the more versatile defensive linemen for the squad with multiple representation across the board for various stat categories.
