View from the Library: North Lake Co. Public Library
It’s beginning to feel a lot like winter. Is there a better time to snuggle up under a cozy blanket with a cup of hot chocolate (with whip cream of course) and settle into a good book?
We love the idea of hygge and have a great book display to go with it. If you’re not familiar, hygge is a Danish word for a feeling of coziness and comfort.
Think warm wooly sweaters, fuzzy socks and cable knit blankets by the fire. We hope everyone has a sense of hygge this winter season with comfort and joy.
Our Fourth Friday movies will be moving to the First Friday beginning Jan. 3 with a brand new release at 6 p.m. This movie is sure to be your cup of tea. Check our website for movie titles.
The second installment of our Flipster Fun Series is Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 5 p.m. We will be making a peppermint sugar scrub from the winter Willow and Sage magazine available for free on Flipster with your library card.
Make a gift for yourself or someone else. All supplies will be provided and light refreshments will be served.
Please RSVP by Dec. 16 so we are sure to have enough supplies on hand. Call 883-8225 or mark “Going” on our Facebook event.
Our children’s programming continues throughout the month of December. Watch for programs on Mondays, Wednesdays and every other Friday.
If you don’t have a library card, then what are you waiting for?
Give yourself the gift of free books, movies, magazines, music and so much more. There is no charge to get a library card and no minimum age.
Our staff has set a December goal of adding 100 library cards, so stop by and help us get there.
Just bring a photo ID and proof of Montana address (if it’s not on your ID) to the front desk and within minutes you will have access to hundreds of thousands of books, movies and more.
The Library is open Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
We will be closed Thursday, Dec. 12 for Staff Development Day, Dec. 24-25 for Christmas, and closing at 4 p.m. Dec. 31.
