Lady Vikings, Scarlets battling for Class C supremacy

Scarlets rout Red Devils

At Noxon, visiting Scarlet seniors swishes the net more than enough times to offset the sum tally by the host Lady Red Devils.

Alyssia Vanderburg, Louetta Conko-Camel, Nellie Desjarlais, Sydni Rogers and Noelle West collaborated on twice as many as Noxon. Vanderburg led all scorers, while Conko-Camel netted mid-teens. Noxon was led by Delaney Weltz, niece of Polson superintendent Rex Weltz.

Arlee will face off against a pair of Mission Valley cross county rivals this week. The Scarlets will have already played the 6B Mission Lady Bulldogs on Tuesday in a cross-classification clash. On Friday, Jan. 11, the unblemished conference record of Arlee will collide with the undefeated record of the Lady Vikings in Charlo. The high-octane offense of the Scarlets will tangle with the vaunted disruptive defense that Charlo is renowned for.

Arlee 67, Noxon 28

Louetta Conko-Camel crested the career quadruple century (400) point plateau, while Syndi Rogers surpassed the century (100) threshold for career scoring.

Charlo tethers Blackhawks

At Seeley-Swan, the Lady Vikings rang in the New Year much like they went shopping before Christmas prior to the holiday break, by notching another tally in the win column.

Liev Smith and Allie Delaney each scored among the low teens while collaborating on a baker’s dozen rebounds. Destiny Manuel added another dozen points to Charlo coffers.

The Lady Vikings will face their stiffest test of the season this Friday, Jan. 11, when they host the visiting Arlee Scarlets. Both teams have unblemished conference records at stake. Stingy defense will be matched up with potent offense to add to the discussion about which is preferable for the winning cause. Charlo will then travel to Hot Springs on Saturday, Jan. 12.
