Lady Vikings topple St. Regis, Plains; Lady Bulldogs drop pair

At Charlo last week, the host Lady Vikings continued a trend they started at the beginning of the season and picked up another pair of conference wins as they added to their renewed undefeated streak.

Last Thursday against St. Regis, Charlo caged some carnivore cats with a dose of catnip by carving out a strong first half double digit lead, then kept the Lady Tigers from baring the necessary teeth or claws to climb back into contention. Kaitin Cox and Liev Smith combined for more than two dozen.

The following evening on Friday, the host Lady Vikings tethered the Trotters with similar treatment, building a double digit first half margin, expanding upon it the following frame, then holding the reins in check the remainder of the way. Liev Smith was the only player to tally double figures, but Carlee Fryberger along with Destiny Manuel collaborated on another baker’s dozen.

The Lady Vikings travel to face Two Eagle River on Friday, Jan. 25, then host Noxon on Saturday, Jan. 26.

Allie Delaney crossed the century (100) threshold for varsity career steals the last time the Lady Vikings faced the Trotters, having extended her pilfer tally by more than a dozen since then.
