SHANELLE SKUNKCAP, B.S. Elementary Education, is happy to have her Salish Kootenai College diploma.

In a joyful ceremony bringing together the best of native culture with the collegiate mortarboard, Salish Kootenai College Class of 2019 graduated 278 students Saturday, June 8. Graduates were welcomed in the Grand Entry by Yamncut Drum with SKC Head Male and Female War Dancers Wilbert Michel Sr. and Linda King, and speeches by tribal and SKC officials.

Dr. Joseph McDonald, President Emeritus at SKC, gave the keynote address.

Receiving honors for Student of the Year was Brevin Holliday, graduating with an Associate of Arts in Tribal Administration & Governance. Teacher of the Year was awarded to Mathematics instructor and endurance runner and coach Matt Seeley.
