Two arrested in Polson for drugs after search
The Polson Police Department executed a residential search warrant as part of a short-term drug investigation last Friday afternoon, March 1. The warrant was executed at the Boettcher Terrace Apartments in the 800 block of 10th Avenue East. Evidence found during the search included methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana and numerous items of drug paraphernalia. No one was injured as a result of the warrant service.
Two people were arrested for charges of criminal child endangerment, possession of methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest.
Charlie Pluff and Sarena Erickson were also in the residence at the time of the warrant service. They were taken into custody for outstanding arrest warrants for drug charges, but were released due to the Lake County Detention Facility not having enough room.
“This operation was a fine example of community teamwork,” Polson Police Sgt. George Simpson said in a news release Saturday morning, March 2. “Your Polson Police Department would like to thank all the citizens that came forward with information. The best intelligence we receive is from our community. The Montana Highway Patrol, Montana Adult Probation and Parole, Flathead Tribal Police and Lake County Sheriff’s Office all contributed greatly to the safe execution of the warrant service.”
