Linderman students raise money for Heart Association

LINDERMAN ELEMENTARY student Gracie Tryon has lots of fun jumping rope during the Kids Heart Challenge at the school on March 13. Nearly $2,900 was raised by LES students and the money was donated to the American Heart Association.

Linderman Elementary School students in Polson were willing to encourage gracious people to “pay it forward” during the 2019 Kids Heart Challenge.

LES students raised nearly $2,900 collectively with the money to be donated to the American Heart Association. According to school officials, The fundraiser culminated Wednesday, March 13 with students’ activities such as rope jumping, hurdling and using hula hoops.

“We had excellent participation this year. Eighty students accepted the challenge to improve their health and raise heart health awareness by: choosing water over sugar drinks; pledging to do a good deed daily; and being physically active for 60 minutes every day.

Olivia Cottet was the top fundraiser; she brought in $330. Brazen Crawford and Strider Gage tied for second with each raising $250.
