Jane Johnston

Jane Ann Johnston of Polson, Mont., passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at her home, surrounded by family, friends and her beloved dog Stormy at her side.

Jane was born May 18, 1941, to Carl and Sophie Lukert in Toledo Ohio. Jane married Jack Allen, and they had three children, They moved to Polson in the early 1970s and were later divorced.

Jane worked for many years at Safeway in Polson, and in later years, Pier 93 in Polson.

Her passion was singing in the church choir. A highlight of her final days was when a group from the choir stopped by her hospital room and sang with her.

She loved to play games, and usually had a table full of friends playing “Hand and Foot” and other games.

Proceeding her in death was her mother Sophie; father, Carl; sister, Joan; brother, Don; husband, George Moon and Bud Johnston; and grandson, Roman Bell.

She is survived by daughter Joan (Perry) Deschamps, Spokane Valley, Wash.; son, Jim (Holly) Allen of Ronan Mont., and daughter, Janet (David) Young of Polson, Mont.; grandchildren, Maddie Mahan, Jacob Young, Jared (Corbin) Young, Justin Young, Josh Young, Callie Young, Thorin Young, Neveah Young, Brittney (Justin) Jaccaud, Jordan Allen, Maegan (Ty) Unruh, and Elizabeth Johnston; and six great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on May 18, 2019, at 2 p.m.
