Hazard Mitigation Plan meeting on tap

Wednesday, June 5 is the date set for the final Lake County Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan meeting before its adoption.

The meeting is set for 2:30 p.m. at the Lake County Office of Emergency Services room, at 25C Regatta Road in Polson.

The plan profiles the top hazards in Lake County having the potential to impact the population and cause property loss. Those hazards include:

- Wildfire

- Severe Weather and Drought

- Hazardous Material Incidents/Transportation Accidents

- Communicable Disease

- Flooding and Dam Failure

- Landslide

- Terrorism, Violence, Civil Unrest, Cyber Security

- Earthquake
