The Post Creek 44 Bar Steak and Tap House is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner Nov. 16 to benefit Ryan Roberts, who recently suffered major injuries in a fluke accident in North Dakota.

Roberts, 37, was involved in an excavation accident Nov. 1, when a trench collapsed, causing him to be pinned against a bank. His sister, Stacy Roberts, owner of Post Creek 44, says he suffered several injuries in the accident, including several broken ribs and vertebrae, a shattered scapula, a broken jaw, and a punctured lung.

Ryan is the son of Daniel Roberts, Polson, and Sharla Wadsworth, Saint Ignatius, and graduated from Polson High School in 2001. Ryan and his girlfriend Jenny Paulson, also from Polson, relocated to Williston, North Dakota in 2015. Ryan is working toward becoming a licensed plumber.

The dinner, from 4 to 9 p.m., will offer spaghetti, garlic bread and salad, $10 adults, $8 for kids 10 and under. A silent auction will be held 4 – 6 p.m. Donations can be dropped off at the Post Creek 44 Bar on Highway 93 north of St. Ignatius.

“This young man has a long road to recovery,” says Stacy.
