Thaden new director for Lake County Community Development

Jim Thaden brings many years of experience in economic development and nonprofit management to his new position as Executive Director of the Lake County Community Development Corporation.

“We’re excited to have someone with Jim’s extensive background in business development and nonprofit administration leading our organization,” said Billie Lee, Interim Executive Director at LCCDC.

“His expertise will be instrumental in helping us to develop and implement innovative strategies to help our communities grow and prosper.”

Thaden is an experienced strategy, development and business growth leader. He brings a long history of success as a developer of nonprofit organizations, social enterprises and for-profit businesses.

Together with LCCDC’s Board of Directors and management team, Thaden will work

to build the value of client services offered by LCCDC and expand the range of services offered to improve the quality of life in the region LCCDC serves.

Over the past five years, he has served as served as Executive Director and Development Director of the Central Asia Institute, where he led the administration, growth and development of an organization that raises funds through private and public U.S. sources to build partnerships with communities to provide education and career skills development.

For three years prior, he was a leader in the turnaround and growth of Discovery Place, a substance abuse recovery program. He has also founded and led several service organizations in the health, technology, packaging and distribution sectors.

Jim is a native of the Pacific Northwest and a proud resident of Montana. He is personally dedicated to helping build vibrant, self-sustaining communities which respect the dignity of all citizens and the environment in which they thrive.

Lake County Community Development Corporation is a regional economic development organization established to provide leadership, community and economic development efforts, and to address growth issues as they affect the quality of life in Lake, Mineral and Sanders Counties and the Flathead Reservation.
