Smith, Quinones crowned Polson Homecoming King, Queen

Davis Smith and Grace Quiñones were crowned Homecoming King and Queen Friday in Polson.

It culminated a week of homecoming festivities that included bonfires, barbecues, dances, dress-up days, and of course Homecoming Royalty Friday.

This year’s homecoming candidates elected by the freshman class were Grace Quiñones and Bo Kelley. Grace is the daughter of Joe and Tina Quiñones. She has participated in four years of volleyball, softball, pep band, two years of the mentoring program, and a volunteer at Fresh Life Church with children. After graduation, Grace would like to continue her education in California and pursue a degree in Spanish and Ministry Leadership.

Bo is the son of Randy and Tammy Kelley. He has participated in football, basketball, and track. After graduation, Bo plans on pursuing an engineering degree and wants to continue playing football. Bo enjoys time on the lake with his family.

The homecoming candidates elected by the sophomore class were Gwen Seeley and Smith. Gwen is the daughter of Matt and Tana Seeley. Gwen has participated in cross country and track. She has also been a basketball manager and a Link leader. After graduation, Gwen plans to attend college on the west coast and study child development.

Davis is the son of Richard Smith and Sarah Beck. Davis has participated in soccer, he is also Student Body President. He plans on majoring in classical studies in college. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, reading a good book, and taking his dogs to the dog park.

The junior class elected candidates were Misty Tenas and Garret Croft. Misty is the daughter of Tim and Sandra Tenas. Misty has participated in volleyball and basketball. She has also participated in the Salishian and yearbook. After graduation, Misty plans on going to college for psychology. When not in school, Misty enjoys spending time in the mountains.

Garrett is the son of Tony and Shelley Croft. Garrett participates in wrestling and football. After graduation, Garrett plans on attending a trade school. He also enjoys fishing, hunting, and hanging out with friends.

Candidates Cali Cannon and Harley Sorrell were elected by the senior class. Cali is the daughter of Chris and Shannon Cannon. Cali has participated in four years of golf and softball. She has also been involved in the health occupation internship, a Link Crew leader for two years, has volunteered at the senior home, and enjoys hanging out with friends. After graduation, Cali plans on pursuing a career as a surgical or travel nurse.

Harley is the son of Patrick Sorrell and Holly Wilcox. Harley has participated in football. After graduation, Harley plans to become an automotive mechanic, electrician, or stone mason.

Homecoming Royalty was announced at the Homecoming football game against Libby on Friday during halftime.
