Anthony Lewis (Tony) Croft, 62

| October 16, 2019 5:44 PM

Anthony Lewis (Tony) Croft passed away unexpectedly on the North Slope in Alaska Sept. 22, 2019.

Tony was born March 28, 1957 in Polson, Montana to Mary and Lewis Croft.

He graduated Polson High School in 1975 and worked in the oil fields in Evanston, Wyoming, before moving to Breckenridge, Colorado where he worked for Stan Miller Inc. for several years running heavy equipment and moving dirt.

When he moved back to Polson in 1993 he met Shelley Bronson. They got married Sept. 14, 1996 and had their daughter Mikayla Jean Croft in 1999. Two years later in October of 2001 they had a son, Garrett Anthony Croft.

During this time Tony worked 8 years for Crockett Trucking and Excavating then worked 8 years for Robert Ragland at REB LLC running heavy equipment and moving

dirt.

At the time of Tony’s death he worked for Jacob’s Petrolleum on the North Slope in Alaska as a heavy equipment operator going on his 10th year.

Tony loved to hunt, fish, camp, look for arrowheads, and spend his 3 weeks home from the slope with his family. He took his kids Mikayla and Garrett big game hunting every year and would chase the geese with Garrett and his brother Danny.

He loved watching his 2 kids compete in sports. You could find him on the sidelines watching softball and football or up in the bleachers watching girls basketball

and wrestling. If he was on the slope working a highlight game video would always be sent.

Tony also loved to cook especially BBQ and he could grill a mean rack of ribs!!! He was an amazing husband, dad, provider and a hard worker who knew the value of a hard day’s work and he passed that down to his kids.

He was a big burly man with a soft and gentle soul who loved his family. His tender heart, funny faces and stories will be greatly missed.

Tony is survived by his mom and dad; Mary and Lewis Croft, his wife Shelley, kids Mikayla and Garrett, brother Danny and his girlfriend Terrie Holmes.

He is proceeded in death by his brother Stephen Croft, his Grandma and Grandpa Anthony and Aliza Whyte and Grandma and Grandpa Gladys and Stephen Croft.

A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019 at the Polson Elks Lodge. Foster Funeral Home and Crematory in St. Ignatius handled the cremation, no graveside services were requested.

Come spring time of the year the family will spread his ashes on the area he hunted as a kid and where he took his OWN kids hunting.

Condolences can be sent to the family at 808 14th Ave East, Polson Montana, 59860
