At Charlo last week, Lady Viking volleyball dialed down the therms generated by the Savage Heat of Hot Springs, then tamed some Tigers from St. Regis to notch two more wins in District 14C to maintain their lead in the conference.

Carlee Fryberger combined for almost two dozen kills over the course of the two games, while sister Connor Fryberger and Kassidi Cox split duties setting the table with double digit assists. Kira McPhail rejected a trio of attacks with three blocks in each contest.

Carlee Fryberger and Kassidi Cox collaborated on more than two dozen digs over the course of the Hot Springs match, while Liev Smith led the team with 11 digs against St. Regis.

Charlo will have already faced Noxon Tuesday, then travel to Thompson Falls for a cross-classification clash today.

Arlee swept by Anaconda, Bigfork

At Arlee this past weekend, the Scarlets almost notched their first victory of the season with a very close homecoming contest against the visiting Vals of Bigfork. All three sets extended into the 20s. Emily Fiddler was royally majestic on defense as the 2019 Homecoming Queen dug out almost two dozen digs. Saige Koetter posted a half dozen kills, while Rhied Crawford served a pair of service aces. Sister Jerny Crawford stuffed a half dozen blocks at the net.

At Anaconda last Tuesday, the Scarlets would succumb to fang-dangled snake bite at the Snake Pit by the Lady Copperheads.

The Scarlets hit the road to face Deer Lodge Thursday then host the Lady Trojans of Troy Saturday for Senior Night.
