The Board of Lake County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the Resolution of Intention to Adopt Lake County Drone Use Policy on Thursday November 21, 2019 at 1:30 pm for the purpose of taking public comment on the Resolution listed below. NOTICE OF ELEMENTARY DISTRICT BOND ELECTION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Board of Trustees (the "Board") of Elementary School District No. 23 (Polson), Lake County, Montana (the "Elementary District"), that pursuant to a certain resolution duly adopted at a meeting of the Board on September 9, 2019, a special election of the registered voters of the Elementary District will be held by mail ballot election on December 3, 2019 for the purpose of voting on the question of whether the Board may sell and issue general obligation school building bonds of the Elementary District in one or more series in the aggregate principal amount of up to Thirty Million Four Hundred Thirty-One Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($30,431,000.00) for the purpose of providing funds to pay the costs of designing, constructing, improving, renovating, equipping, and furnishing schools in the Elementary District to enhance learning environments and address safety and environmental concerns, to include: updating security systems at all schools in the Elementary District, to include surveillance cameras, alarm systems and building access controls; at Cherry Valley Elementary School, constructing a new gymnasium, dining commons, kitchen, pre-kindergarten area, second grade area, and music room; relocating and remodeling library/media center; remodeling science classroom space to include breakout areas, the vestibule to enhance security, and the mechanical room; replacing the fire suppression system and the roof; updating the heating system; upgrading electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems and building finishes to increase energy efficiency; removing asbestos; and performing related site work; at Linderman Elementary School, constructing new dining commons, restrooms, kitchen, hallways, fifth grade area, and music room; relocating and remodeling library/media center; remodeling science classroom space to include breakout areas, the vestibule to enhance security, and teachers' support spaces; replacing the fire suppression system; upgrading electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems and building finishes to increase energy efficiency; removing asbestos; and performing related site work; at Polson Middle School, constructing a new secure entry vestibule; remodeling the dining area, library, breakout areas, corridor and commons areas; replacing the fire suppression system; upgrading electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems and building finishes to increase energy efficiency; and performing related site work; related improvements and costs; and paying costs associated with the sale and issuance of the bonds. Each series of the bonds shall bear interest at a rate or rates to be determined at the time of sale and be payable semiannually during a term of not more than twenty-five (25) years. The election will be conducted by the County Election Administrator solely by mail ballot. Ballots will be mailed to all eligible registered voters in the Elementary District on November 13, 2019, and must be returned by each voter, by mail or in person to the County Election Administrator's Office, Room #121 of the Lake County Courthouse, 106 4th Ave E, Polson, MT 59860, during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), weekdays (exclusive of holidays), November 14, 2019 through December 2, 2019.
