Santa Barbara, California residents Carl and Jo Lindros died Aug. 11 when their small airplane crashed into a mountain in Idaho while en route from Polson to Sacramento.

The couple, both 83 years old, were regular visitors to Polson and would spend a weekend every summer with close friends in the Finley Point area of Flathead Lake.

Since the couple’s death, their son, Randy Lindros, has been trying to connect with these dear friends with the hopes of having them attend a memorial service for his parents planned for October in California.

The only problem is that Randy never met his parents’ friends in Polson and doesn’t know their names.

“They talked about them all the time, but we never met them,” Randy said.

Randy recalled that his mother and her friend loved to go to yard sales along the lake together, which earned them the nickname “the turn-around girls.”

They’d would be driving along and pass a yard sale, and one of them would say, “look at that great sale, turn around,” Randy explained.

“I need to find this woman who is one of my mom’s best friends,” he added.

Anyone who can help Randy connect with his parents’ friends should call 1-949-691-4470.

The celebration of life is set for Oct. 19 from 2-6 p.m. at the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort, in Santa Barbara, California.
