Polson Town Pump store manager Hannah Elmore wanted to do something special to acknowledge the work of local law enforcement, first responders and special forces that serve our country.

Town Pump provided coffee and donuts commemorating all of those who have served and generated a significant response from local law enforcement, who attended the event.

“For me, it’s very personal,” Elmore said. “I was in the military (when 9/11 happened), and in 2003 came back to Lake County to be part of their search and rescue and an EMT. I think giving back to the community is a crucial part of the community.”

Elmore, and Town Pump took a proactive approach toward making the event come to fruition and it was an overwhelming success for all local Lake County entities that serve, Elmore said.

“I have a different appreciation because I know they work 12-hour shifts, and sometimes they don’t get any sleep,” Elmore said.

“There are times I don’t get any sleep for 48 hours, but I push through, and that made me happy to know that I could give back.”

Elmore, who is now considering to make this an annual event, was pleased with the response of so many branches of first responders in the community.

According to Elmore, the event was a complete success.

“I got to send some pictures to the corporate office, and I just sent the pics up to show our community support,” Elmore said. “Hopefully, this gives the other Town Pumps ideas on what they can do for the community.”
