Lake County detention officer charged with misconduct

A Lake County detention officer is facing charges that she illegally transferred items and messages to an inmate under her watch.

According to Lake County Sheriff Don Bell, Polson resident Korren Fehrenbach, 25, was arrested April 28 following an internal investigation.

Fehrenbach is charged with one count of official misconduct, two counts of transferring of illegal articles into a detention facility and one count of unauthorized communication with an inmate. She was also fired from her job.

Bell said that because the matter is a personnel issue, he would not be releasing any more information regarding the investigation.
