Charlo and Ronan school board ballots due May 5

Ballots for school board trustee elections in Charlo School District #7-J and Ronan School District #30-2 were mailed April 15 to all active, registered voters within these districts. Ballots must be received in the Lake County Election Office by 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 5 to be counted.

Three open positions will be filled in Charlo. Voters can vote for up to three candidates out of five on the ballot: Daniel Cahoon, Graydon Cross, Kim Detert, La Donna Fryberger, and Terrance R. Rosenbaum.

In Ronan, two positions are to be filled. Voters can vote for up to two candidates out of three on the ballot: W. Robert Cornwell, Rich Janssen, and Maggie Winter-Sydnor.

Voters can check to ensure the office has their correct address and their registration status is active at My Voter Page - https://app.mt.gov/voterinfo. This site has been updated to show voters their currently registered name, residence address, mailing address, and whether their voting status is active.

If an individual has an inactive status or did not receive a ballot for their district, they may call the Election Office at 883-7268 to find out how to reactivate and receive a ballot.

To register to vote in this election after April 28, individuals must appear in-person at the Lake County Election Office located at the Lake County Courthouse, 106 4th Ave E. in Polson. The Election Office is open from 8 am – 5 pm, Monday through Friday, and until 8 p.m. election night, May 5. Voters may vote in-person at this office until 8 p.m. May 5 as well.
