AUDIT PUBLICATION An audit of the affairs of the City of Polson has been conducted by Denning, Downey & Associates, CPA's. The audit covered the fiscal year ended June 30, 2019. Section 2-7-521, MCA, requires the publication of the following summary of significant findings. Summary of Significant Findings The audit report for the City of Polson for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2019, were unmodified. The audit report also contained several other auditor's reports. Following is a listing of the reports and a summary of the finding included in each. This is only a summary and is not intended to be used as an audit report. 1. Report on Compliance and on Internal Control Over Financial Reporting Based on an Audit of Financial Statements Performed in Accordance with Government Auditing Standards. This report contained findings in the following matters: a.) Timely Filing of Annual Financial Report 2. Report on Other Compliance, Financial and Internal Accounting Control Matters. This report contained no findings. 3. Report on Audit Report Recommendations. This report summarized the findings from the prior audit report, and noted the action taken on them. a.) Upper West Shore School District 33 Notice of Final Budget Meeting The Board of Trustees of Upper West School School District 23 will meet at the Special Budget Meeting on Friday, August 14, 2020 at 5:30 p.m. at the Dayton Elementary for the purpose of considering and adopting the final budget of the Elementary School district for the 2020-2021 school year. This meeting of the trustees may be continued from day to day until the final adoption of the District's 2020-2021 budgets. NOTICE OF SALE Department of Natural Resources & Conservation Timber Sale The White Lion Timber Sale is located within Sections 26 and 34, T24N-R18W on the State's Swan Unit. Approximately 18,242 tons, consisting of mixed conifer sawlogs, are offered for sale. Sealed bids will be opened at the Department of Natural Resources & Conservation, 2705 Spurgin Road, Missoula, Montana on September 2, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Bids may be hand delivered or mailed and will be accepted any time prior to the bid opening. DNRC recommends that bidders contact the Trust Land Management Division (406-542-4300) prior to the bid opening to ensure that your bid has been received. Bids must be accompanied by a deposit of $22,875, representing 5% of the minimum bid value of the sale in cashier's check, certified check, bank money order or bank draft to be applied to the first sale invoice for the successful bidder. Bid bonds will be accepted and, for the successful bidder, will be closed upon execution of the Timber Sale Contract and Timber Sale Bond. The sale will be awarded to the highest responsible bidder. Award of the timber sale is conditional upon approval of the timber sale by the State Board of Land Commissioners at their August 17, 2020 meeting. If the successful bidder is unable to execute the contract within 30 calendar days from the date the sale is awarded, the bid deposit will be retained by the Department as liquidated damages. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
