NOTICE FOR FIRST PUBLIC HEARING TO INDENTIFY COMMUNITY NEEDS AND PROJECTS The Lake County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on February 18, 2020 at 10:00 A.M in the Commissioner's Meeting Room at 106 4th Avenue East, Polson, MT 59860, in conjunction with Lake County Community Development Corporation for the purpose of obtaining public comments regarding the needs and priorities of any/all communities and organizations of Lake County for public facilities, infrastructure, affordable housing, economic development and community revitalization. Various funding programs available to meet the needs expressed at this hearing, especially those impacting economically distressed communities and persons, will be presented. Communities, sewer and/or water districts and organizations who may be considering applying for funding from the state of Montana under any of these categories, attending this hearing and identifying projects under consideration, may use the minutes of this hearing as evidence of a first public hearing as may be required as a condition of any application for funding made within the next 12 month period. The Lake County Commissioners and community leaders may utilize the feedback received at this hearing to prioritize projects that may need their support and consideration. Lake County Community Development Corp. will also include needs expressed at the public hearing in its annual update to the Community Economic Development Strategies reported to the State Department of Commerce. At the public hearing, everyone will be given the opportunity to express their opinions regarding the needs of our communities and the types of projects that should be considered.
