Elizabeth 'Betty' S. Keenan, 94

Elizabeth “Betty” S. Keenan, 94, of Cheyenne, Wyoming (formerly of Polson) was ushered into Heaven on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2020. She was born March 24, 1925 in Camden, N.J., to Edward and Frances Stackenwalt.

After she graduated from Pitman High School in 1942, she became a career woman, working in Philadelphia. On June 16, 1951 she married Robert S. Keenan. They started their life together in Panama, Canal Zone from 1951 through 1960, where Bob worked for the U.S. Army Civil Service. While living in Panama, they welcomed three daughters. In 1960, they moved to Winter Park, Florida, where they added another girl to the daughter brigade. In 1965, the fully completed family moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming, where Bob worked for the U.S. Air Force Civil Service. T

hrough all these life changes, Betty kept the household together. In 1980, they retired and moved to Polson, where they remained for 25 years until Bob’s death in 1999. hen Y2K proved to be a bust, she packed up and moved back to Cheyenne, where she contentedly lived the rest of her years. Betty attended Element Church, where she served and worshipped her Lord faithfully. Her Lord and family were everything to Betty.

She is survived by her four daughters: Linda Grout, Debbie Garber (John), Jan Maxwell and Alison Keenan. Nine grandchildren: Mindy Huggan (Neil), Brian Grout (Sarah), Kristi Keenan, Amanda Cook (Brian), Rob Webb, Breanne Davis (Anthony), Michael McCurdy, James Maxwell, Ellie Maxwell, and 13 great-grandchildren.
