Lady Bulldogs earn fourth at 7-B Districts

The Mission Lady Bulldogs basketball team will play in the Western B Divisional tournament in Hamilton after a fourth-place finish at the 7-B Districts last week in Libby.

Mission opens this week’s action against Loyola at noon Thursday.

Mission opened play in Libby with a 60-25 win over Troy in a play-in game. Azia Umphrey led the way with 18 points and Kooper Page scored 14.

In the semifinals, Thompson Falls topped Mission 63-51. Umphrey led all scorers with 21 points.

In the girls consolation game, Bigfork topped Mission 53-25. Umphrey led her team with nine points.

Arlee ended its season at 2-17 after a 52-35 loss to Deer Lodge in the 6-B play-in game last week.

Jerny Crawford led her team with 13 points while Peyton Lammerding and Princess Bolen each scored six points.
