Mission boys take second at 7-B district tournament
The Mission boys’ basketball team was second at the 7-B tournament in Libby last weekend.
The Bulldogs crushed Troy 83-24 in the play-in game before edging Bigfork 47-44.
Jedi Christy led Mission with 15 points. He scored eight in the fourth quarter.
Zoran LaFrombois and Isaiah Nasewytewa each added 12 points each for Mission (10-11).
In the title game, Eureka claimed the 7-B title with a 49-41 win over Mission Saturday.
A.J. Pacella hit four 3-pointers while scoring 16 points, Corey Channey added 15 and Jake Kindel scored 10 points for the Lions.
Christy’s 14 points led Mission, and 10 of that came in the third quarter as the Bulldogs attempted to rally. Ross McPherson added nine points for Mission.
All four teams move on to the Western B Divisional Feb. 27-29 in Hamilton.

Arlee Warriors reach B Divisional
The Warriors placed fourth last weekend and will open Western B Divisional play at 9 a.m. Thursday against Eureka at Hamilton High School.
In 6-B action, the Warriors won a play-in game against Florence, 86-79, in overtime as Cody Tanner exploded for 39 points, a career high. Billy Fisher scored 15, David Haynes had 14 and Levi Fullerton scored 13.
Arlee then dropped games to Deer Lodge, 64-55, and Loyola, 72-61, in the semifinals. Tanner scored 49 points in those contests and totaled 88 for the tourney.
