Charlo girls win tenth straight over nonconference foes
The Charlo Lady Vikings dismantled two nonconference opponents this past week to add two more to their unblemished record.
Against the visiting Blackhawks from Seeley Swan, Charlo put together sequential double digit quarter scoring to capture the contest with a second half surge. Seeley only trailed by two possessions at the half, but Charlo stretched their advantage to double digits with a solid second segment. A half dozen Lady Vikings tallied multiple times that included a trio who reached double figures.
At Arlee in a cross classification clash between former District 14C rivals, the visiting Lady Vikings likewise placed a trio in double figures to secure their tenth straight. Charlo’s suffocating defense disrupted Scarlet attempts to establish any kind of rhythm on offense. The Smith tandem of Liev and Hayleigh collaborated on two dozen points that coincided with a similar team number of pilfered possessions.
Charlo hosts the visiting Lady Savage Heat of Hot Springs in one of their more crucial conference clashes of the season this Friday, January 17.
