Lady Bulldogs drop pair against Thompson Falls, Loyola
This past week, the Mission Lady Bulldogs faced a pair of top rung on the Western B ladder teams.
At Missoula against the undefeated 6B Breakers, Sydney Brander scored a dozen over the course of the first half and Azia Umphrey tallied her a half dozen the second period as Mission hung with Loyola within a single possession at the half. But thereafter, they were unable to craft comparable counters to the Breaker offensive onslaught.
At Thompson Falls, the visiting Lady Dawg trailed by a double digit deficit of a dozen after the first frame, but clawed back within two possessions by intermission. But thereafter, the host Lady Bluehawks took flight as they reacquired the margin and then some. Mission placed a trio in double figures, but were missing a key contributor with the absence of Syd Brander.
Mission travels to Ronan on Friday, then host Arlee on Saturday.
