Polson, Ronan wrestlers busy at several duals

This past week, the pair Mission Valley NWA wrestlers from Ronan and Polson competed in sets of duals against fellow Western A competition.

Ronan has been competitive on the mat, but vacant weight class entries and limited experience have cost the Chiefs in their ability to pick up crucial points along the line.

The Pirates of Polson went 3-2 overall, with their pair of losses to Frenchtown and Dillon being close competitive affairs. Multiple ranked wrestlers with their accumulated experienced tended to prevail in close matches, but both Chief as well as Pirate grapplers gleaned vital experience from those encounters that will pay off dividends down the road.

The Pirates will hold a set of duals this Thursday for their Senior Night with Columbia Falls and Ronan in attendance. Both area teams will then competed in the Rocky Mountain Classic over the weekend.
