At Thompson Falls this past weekend, the Mission-Charlo Bulldogs would capture the team title at the Ted Kato Memorial wrestling tournament, bolstered not only by nine placers, but also getting key contributions from wrestlebacks after losses rerouted wrestlers into consolation round action.
The Bulldogs crowned a pair of champions in Darwin Adams (152) and Isaiah Allik (170). Runnerup silver medalists included Walker Murphy (126), Ethan Diaz (160) and Miles Anderson (205).
For the Arlee Warriors, Colt Crawford (145) placed third, while RJ Knoll took the championship in the 152B weight class. Kody Dillard (103) would win his first varsity match of the season.
Arlee competed in a Eureka Mixer last Tuesday, while Mission-Charlo tuned up for the Ted Kato at the Plains Mixer last Thursday. Neither events were scored. Results were unavailable at presstime.
Mission-Charlo will honor their seniors on Senior Night on Friday, January 31, as they host a mixer with visiting Ronan and Arlee. On Saturday, they close out the regular schedule at Deer Lodge for the Ron Fuhrman Memorial.
