Fundraiser set up for family displaced by fire
An online fundraising campaign has been launch to assist a Polson family displaced by a structure fire last month.
Two homes in Polson were destroyed by the fire on the 500 block of Third Street West on Feb. 19.
According to the GoFundMe campaign organized by Evangelina Lindquist, the Knudsen family lost most of their home in the blaze. Estimated damages are about $200,000.
“We woke up to a massive house fire that sparked over to Rud and Terresa’s home,” Lindquist wrote on the GoFundMe site. “It will be a very long road to repairing and rebuilding a home they’ve lived in for over 40 years, as they are doing the repairs out of pocket due to a lack of insurance.”
According to Lindquist, Rud is pastor of Apostolic United Pentecostal Church in Polson.
“He and his wife will be staying there for the time being but are in need of funds to help provide for food, expenses, replacement clothes and general home items,” Lindquist noted about the campaign.
