Photos: Ronan visits Polson

| November 6, 2020 10:20 PM

The Ronan volleyball team visited Polson for one of the biggest matches between the two teams in recent memory.

The Lady Pirates took the match in four sets -- 25-21, 25-22, 24-26, 25-21 -- and secured a trip to the class A state tournament in Shelby.

Ronan was coming off a big upset win at Southwest District top seed Corvallis on Thursday. The Maidens will travel to Frenchtown for a loser-out match Saturday. The winner of that match qualifies for state.

Polson will travel to Northwest District top seed Columbia Falls on Saturday. The undefeated Wildcats have lost just three sets all season and swept the Lady Pirates in both of their previous meetings.
