Local briefs: The People’s Center may have a temporary site

| November 19, 2020 12:05 AM

Staff at The People’s Center appear on the verge of announcing a new site for the museum and gift shop in the wake of an arson fire in September that destroyed much of their Pablo facility.

The center promotes the cultural heritage of the Salish, Pend d'Oreille and Kootenai tribes.

Staff announced via Facebook last week that they have established a potential temporary site in St. Ignatius but are awaiting final word on a lease before making an official announcement.
