At Plains, the visiting Mission Bulldog gridders hobbled the Horsemen with a balanced rushing and passing attack. Bryce Umphrey rumbled to two tallies, John Komotios caught a pair of scoring receptions, Layne Spidel ran one in for a score and Dustin Mitchell caught a short-yarder for a touchdown.

Defensive highlights included pressure applied by Charley Adams that forced an intentional grounding safety, while Javon Bolen plucked a pick-6.

Bulldog sophomore quarterback Kellen McClure has thrown almost two dozen touchdown passes this season with over a hundred completions for just under 1,500 yards.

The backfield has been evenly distributed with the trio of Layne Spidel, Charley Adams and Javon Bolen all closing in on the 200-yard threshold. The receiving corps features Komotios, Sargent, Umphrey, Zoran LaFrombois and Adams.

The scheduled matchup between the Bulldogs and Troy Trojans for this Friday has been cancelled due to a rash of injuries for Troy.

The Warriors had a couple of opportunities knocking at the door of the red zone, but couldn't capitalize. Highlights included interceptions by Kendall O'Neill and Colt Crawford, who also rushed for over 100 yards.

The Warriors are slated to travel to Seeley-Swan (2-4) this Friday. The game is anticipated to feature a backfield battle between the Warrior ground game and Seeley's Eric Lorentz, who has rushed for over 500 yards this season.

At Ronan, the host Chiefs (2-5) played a close contest against the visiting Broncs (5-2), with the game entering the fourth quarter all locked up.

Chiefs signal-caller Daniel Kelsch connected with Trapper McAllister for a long bomb before halftime, then scored on a quarterback keeper after intermission. Bruin Largent's conversion run knotted the contest at 14 apiece. Ronan's defense successfully repelled Frenchtown incursions during the third quarter.

But Frenchtown’s offensive horsepower took over with three tallies in the final frame.

The Chiefs are slated to visit the top 5 Dillon Beavers (5-1) on Friday. Their only loss thus far has been to top-ranked Hamilton.
