Local briefs: Fish and Wildlife Board meeting Wednesday

The Flathead Reservation Fish and Wildlife Board will meet via Zoom at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21. The agenda includes discussion of proposed regulation changes and various program updates.

Free QuickBooks Pro 2020 workshop set for Oct. 28

Lake County Community Development Corporation is offering a free QuickBooks Pro 2020 for Windows workshop from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 28 at the LCCDC office, 407 Main St. SW, Ronan.

You’ll learn: Basic uses and features; navigating the menus and options; creating a chart of accounts; setting up and maintaining financial records; setting up customers, jobs and vendors; working with bank accounts; working with reports; and paying expenses, invoicing and receiving payments.

Space is limited and some attendees may be attending via Zoom, depending on the number of students registered. Online registration is available at https://lccdc.ecenterdirect.com/events?reset=1.

Dixon Senior Center still offering meals

Dixon Senior Center is accepting takeout meal requests only in light of the COVID-19 restrictions. Meals will be served at 5:30 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays. They cost $4 per serving and will be delivered to Dixon residents upon request.

Upcoming meals include stir fry, rice, salad and dessert on Monday, or pork roast, baked beans, salad and dessert on Thursday, Oct. 22.
