Authorities investigating suspicious death near Hot Springs
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspicious death in the Hot Springs area that was reported the night of Oct. 20, according to a press release issued by the office the following day.
Deputies and EMS personnel were dispatched at 8:40 p.m. Oct. 20 to a business on Camp Aqua Road, just east of Hot Springs along the border of Lake and Sanders counties following a report of an unresponsive female found in a soaking pool.
Responders attempted to resuscitate the female but were unsuccessful, and she was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sheriff’s Office identified the deceased as Keri Anne Allison, 39. Officials said she originally is from Marysville, Wash., but had moved to Polson within the last year.
An investigation is being conducted by Lake County deputy coroners and detectives, and the body has been moved to the Montana State Crime Lab in Missoula for autopsy.
A male who was temporarily detained for questioning was released Wednesday with no charges being filed.
