Mission Valley cross-country kicking into gear

At Polson, Pirate cross country inaugurated their season with their annual time trial. All-conference accolade accentuated now junior Halle Heninger for the girls and Ryan Dupuis along with Drifter Skillicorn all shaved time off previous bests. The trio of Halle Heninger (10th), junior Ryan Dupuis (6th) and senior Mason Sloan (7th) all turned in times that secured slots among the all-time top ten list. The twice all-stater Sloan has made the all-time top ten list each of his prep seasons.

Ronan cross-country competed in the Bitterroot at the Corvallis Invitational. Among the Chiefs, Brant Heiner was knocking at the door of a sub-17, while fellow teammates Michael Irvine and Zarec Couture both turned in sub-19s. For the Maidens, Olivia Heiner finished among the top five, while Brogan Youngren was a mere half minute from finishing among the top ten.

Mission cross-country competed in a dual with Thompson Falls. The Bulldog boys had a strong showing. Andrew Rush turn in a sub-20, while teammate Zoran LaFrombois was a mere 10 seconds from breaching that barrier. Cedar Hunt was the pace setter for the Lady Bulldog girls.

Arlee cross-country competed at the Libby Invitational over the weekend.

Ronan, Polson and Mission are all slated to compete in the Canal Run this Friday, September 4.
