Paddle relay promoting exercise to depart Polson on Saturday morning

Silver Lining Paddlers will attempt to paddle the length of Flathead Lake on an OC1 outrigger canoe starting at 7:30 a.m. Saturday in Polson. Thirteen paddlers will take turns paddling 1- to 2-mile legs of the 30-mile trek to Somers. Crews in two pontoon support boats will accompany the outrigger rowers.

The group seeks to bring more awareness to the ever-growing body of research that stresses the importance of regular exercise in breast cancer survivors and how it can significantly reduce the risk of recurrence.
