21 new COVID-19 reported for Lake County in last seven days

The state Coronavirus Task Force reported 21 new cases of COVID-19 in Lake County for the week of Sept. 1-7.

The largest surge came Tuesday, Sept. 3, when eight new cases were reported.

The new cases involved just one person in the 60-69 age group and two in the 50-59 age group. Eight cases fell in the 30-39 age group, while ages 10-19 accounted for seven cases. Three of the cases were discovered in residents age 9 or younger.

As of Tuesday, 224 total cases had been identified, including one death, in Lake County during the pandemic. Twenty-five of those cases remained active Tuesday.

Statewide, Montana has 8,381 total cases, with 1,992 still active, and 119 deaths, according to the task force.
