Charlo, Arlee football teams score big wins
At Arlee, the cross county clash between the host Warriors and visiting Vikings would gravitated to the visitors for this round of their Rez rivalry.
After Charlo opened the scoring with a rushing touchdown, Arlee responded in kind with a half the distance of the field scamper by Jace Arca to knot the contest at six apiece.
Charlo would tally twice more, but Arlee countered with a Colt Crawford short yardage plunge to close the gap to a mere touchdown plus conversion 20-12.
But thereafter, the Vikings would find the end zone four more times while denying Warrior opportunities to craft a response.
Charlo hosts the Plains Horsemen, while Arlee travels to St. Regis this Friday, Sept. 11.

Titans topple Bulldogs
At Philipsburg, the visiting Bulldogs notched the scoreboard early when John Komotios reeled in a Kellen McClure pass and took it a quarter the length of the field to the house. Mission was dominating both lines of scrimmage during the early going that was initially shaping up to be a spoiler of the host team home opener.
Senior Night distractions may have played their role, but Flint Creek players may also have recalled the 50-36 loss at the paws of the Bulldogs last season as well.
But one scoring drive seldom determines the outcome of a game. Nor is the name of a well made football movie featuring Denzel Washington entitled, "Remember the Bulldogs," but rather "Remember the Titans," which as irony would have it just happens to coincide with the Flint Creek mascot.
It only takes a spark to ignite a fire and that spark would come on the following possession from MSU Bobcat bound Kade Cutler, who ran back a 65 yard kickoff return to close the gap. A two yard scamper during a subsequent possession and Flint Creek would leave Mission behind in the rear view mirror.
The Bulldogs were playing without a pair of key starters in the contest, their shorthandedness further exacerbated when senior running back Layne Spidel departed the contest on account of injury.
Mission is slated to travel to Clark Fork this Friday.
