Pirate golf participated in a pair of smaller tournaments scaled back on account of pandemic precautions.

On the final day of August at the University of Montana Golf Course, freshmen Ashley Maki for the girls and Hunter Emerson for the boys were the lone golfers to make the top 10.

Last Thursday Pirate golf was the lone full fledged team to compete along with individual golfers from both Dillon and Butte Central.

Butte is the state tournament venue, so the three teams took advantage of the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the course.

Complete results from the small tournament were not recorded.

This coming Friday will be the Libby Invitational, followed by Polson playing host to the Pirate Invite on Monday, Sept. 14. Then on Wednesday, area teams will compete in Frenchtown Sept. 16.
